Yosemite national park
I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Yosmite National Park when I was travelling around the West Coast of the US. It's a moumental place, and everything is on a grand scale. It is more accessible and easy to get to than you think though, and worth a trip if ever you are in the US in that region.
