Think Costa Rica and the only image that comes to mind are of fantastic beaches. It is the major attraction because the place has warm waters throughout the year and very good tourism infrastructure. Ranked among one of the best beaches, Costa Rica has innumerable attraction spanning across two coasts. As almost two third of Costa Rica's is surrounded by the sea, you have many beaches to choose from.
  • Nicoya Peninsula

It is not just a single beach. Rather being the largest peninsula of Costa Rica, Nicoya Peninsula has many blissful beaches. Apart from beach cities such as Tamarindo and Montezuma, Nicoya also has more relaxing and remote Pacific beaches such as Samara, Playas Hermosa, Conchal, Playa Grande and Flamingo.

Manuel Antonio is considered among the best beaches of Costa Rica but of the world. Close your eyes and you can imagine the beauty of a beach with white sand, horseshoe bays, blue-green water, and streaming waterfalls. Do whatever you like such as diving, snorkeling, surfing or hiking. In excitement do not forget to relax surrounded by the breathtakingly beautiful views.

Located around 30 miles south of Manuel Antonio National Park, Playa Dominical is rated among one of the best surfing beaches of Costa Rica. You can see many shops and surfing camps that cater to the demand here. However, if you are not interested in surfing you will still love the green landscape here and also the nightlife.

Montezuma, which is located on Nicoya peninsula's inner base, is a place for the country's most distinctive travelers. Exceptional beauty of this picturesque beach coupled with surfers, waterfalls and a chance to see wildlife are the major attractions here.

On Caribbean side of Costa Rica, Tortuguero is fit for eco-tourists. You can use dugout canoes to go down jungle canals, take a hiking trail among the scenic views or even choose for a guided safari. An interesting fact is that out of the total endangered species of Costa Rica, 16 such as manatees, ocelots, green sea turtles and tapirs can be found living in Tortuguero National Park. After a long adventurous tour you can be sure of a perfect sunbath at the beaches.

The place offers good dining, shopping, and coastal amusements. However, if you are a budget traveler than you might it expensive but the beauty of the place makes every spending worthwhile. On the beaches you can see big leatherback turtles apart from other species that come here every year to lay eggs.

Called is considered the jewel in Osa Peninsula's crown. Corcovado's beaches having dark sands and palms tress make for a scenic view. One must take a boating trip to Isla Del Cao for diving and the ancient stone spheres on the island.

The place is known for its surf culture. However, if you are not a surf enthusiast then you can go boating to see manta rays, dolphins and other species in the protected waters. You can take a leap from Montezuma waterfalls, or else go for a 4-hour trekking that covers all the way from Cabo Blanco Reserve to the beach.
